Kahlana Barfield, the former beauty assistant of Instyle magazine became the the beauty editor in 2007 and she is beyond fabulous!
She is beautiful and exudes an incredible amount of style.
It's shocking to me how many African-Americans women have no clue on what appropriate make-up to wear. Some refuse to wear any at all, rather it's religious reasons or they just don't have a clue. Unless you are Halle Berry or Iman, you have no excuse for not wearing any make-up. Simply apply face moisturiser, a light powder,(make sure it's matches your jawline) neutral eye shadows, mascara and lip gloss can go a long way!
Even though I love Instyle magazine, over the years it's the same faces on the cover, only a few African-American celebrities have grace the cover such as Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Beyonce and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith. I am so proud Kahlana Barfield is in a leadership position to represent modern African-American women!
