Michelle Obama Casual Chic

Michelle Obama speaks to 6th and 7th graders celebrating Black History Month at the White House. She looks fabulous in this casual chic ensemble.

Her sage sweater paired with a crisp white blouse underneath, thin black belt and wine tweed skirt is beyond fabulous.

Ladies of the corporate world, please take notes. When I worked in the corporate world, the majority of the African-American women were just plain sloppy. They actually came to work with their hair undone in a raggedy ponytail looking like they just got out of bed or it was the ones who wore sequins or bright lime or orange tacky suits to work.

Michelle Obama is setting an example on how to look professional and you do not have to spend a great deal of money for this look. J-Crew or our favorites Marshalls or T.J. Maxx is always a great place to shop on a budget! My favorites are designer consignment shops or if you live in the New York, Florida or Chicago area it's Fox's. They have sensational designer clothes at the fraction of the price. My whole wardrobe is practically from there.
